3 Spoons with Foliate Decoration

These three spoons show leaf decoration very similar to that on the Fluted Bowl.  The originals vary slightly in length and weight.

3 spoons with Chi-Rho monogram 

These three spoons show the Chi-Rho monogram , the initials of Christ’s name in Greek.  On either side are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet: “I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last.”.

Two inscribed spoons 

The bowl of these spoons are inscribed “PASCENTIA VIVAS” which translates as “May you live, Pascentia.”.  “Vivas” was a good luck saying often used in late Roman times.
